A rare and original condition Holland top lever double rifle in 450 BPE. Top tang entension over the comb with auto saftey, safe and bolted inlaid in gold.. The bottom of the action engraved charge 4 drams, case 3 1/4 inches.
Fances engraved with a scallop shell motifs. Lovely fiddle figured and marbled Europeon walnut. Capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/4 inches over a ribbed horn buttplate. The barrels retain 60 percent of what looks to their original black. Action has 65 percent original case color and the locks retain 75 percent color. Bores are both excellent, rifle weight is 8 pounds seven ounces. 28 inch barrels with one standing and two folding platinum lined sights out to 300 yards.
A great rifle for anything in North America or driven boar in Europe.
