Description:
This is a very special order 2nd model 1873 in 44 cal. Beautiful case colored frame. On the left hand side plate is the initials "RS" which was done at the factory as stated in the Winchester Letter. Case colors are nearly all present with just some light fading and only slight wear at the carry point. Half oct half round bbl equipped with a globe front and standard rear sight. Has the early Lyman #1 tang sight. Bore is VG to VG+. Strong rifling and shiny bore. Light roughness in the grooves. Beautiful deluxe wood with the sunburst grain. Checkered stock. Wood and checkering are VG with just the normal handling marks. Beautiful very special Winchester 1873!
