Description: Uberti Model 1858 New Army Buffalo Bill's Wild West Tribute .44 BP. Only 300 Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Tribute Revolvers will ever be produced. This revolver is number 5 of 300. The right side of the cylinder features a detailed image of Buffalo Bill on horseback, based on an illustration Cody used as the letterhead for correspondence sent from his “Winter Quarters” in Madison Square Gardens, circa 1886. The left side of the cylinder features a portrait of Buffalo Bill based on an 1899 lithograph used to advertise the Wild West in Europe. Both sides of the barrel feature a 24-karat gold inscription reading “1883 – Buffalo Bill’s Wild West – 1917,” celebrating the years the Wild West show began and ended. Also both sides feature handsome decorative scrollwork in the grand tradition of fine Western firearms engraving. All artwork is featured in stunning 24-karat gold against a blued steel background. Along the backstrap is a recreation of Buffalo Bill’s signature and the revolver’s individual number in the edition (1 to 300). SOLD |
