Description:
Serial #CR3694, .303 British, 25” barrel with a very good plus-fine bore that has some very minor freckling within the grooves. This is a 1904 dated rifle that has about 80 - 85% of an armory re-applied blue finish which blends smoothly into a dark plum-brown patina along some of the edges, and some silvering at the muzzle and on the high edges and projections. The matching numbered bolt has some streaks of gray metal along the gray metal body as well, and the barrel was renumbered to match when the rifle was reconditioned. The cut-off and magazine match the condition of the rest of the rifle with most of the blue remaining and plum colored fading along the edges. The original volley sights are still present. The walnut stock and forend are in very good overall condition having numerous minor surface scuffs, small blemishes, and some arsenal repairs marring the otherwise very nice armory re-applied oil finish. The rifle is accompanied by an olive green canvassling and the rifle rates very good condition overall.
