Rifle acquired from one of the Nizam's palaces armory by David Winks of Holland and Holland. This double rifle is marked with a Gold "3" of 4 ordered by the Nizam. The others were a pair of .500 double rifles and a 10 Bore double rifle. The 26" steel barrels are in excellent condition, bores are as new. Full rib with one fixed and two flip up sights and a flip up night sight. Pull is 14 1/2" on the beautifully figured stock. Very minor handling marks, solid and no cracks or damage. Wood to metal fit is very good, no proud metal. The action is fully engraved with crisp engraving, befitting the richest man in the world. Locks up tight on face and mechanically is excellent. Much original case colors, but faded. Top lever with dolls head extension, non-ejector. Extended top tang. Left side of action engraved "Charge 6 Drams Case 3 Inches". Fitted in a period leather case with original Holland trade label. Many accessories, some are stamped Holland and Holland, The mold and sizing die are reproductions, the mold made by Mike Rowe. Weight of the rifle is 12lb 2oz. London proof marks are blackpowder. Leather case is in good condition and solid.
