Description:
Ithaca Grade 4E 10 Gauge SxS Shotgun
FACTORY ORIGINAL MINT CONDITION, RARE!

General Specs: Ithaca, Year 1925, 10 Gauge, 9lbs 4oz, Side by Side
Serial Number: 390889

This is an incredible find! They made scant few Ithaca Flues Grade 4 10ga. guns, especially with fluid steel barrels and ejectors. Then to find one with literally all of its factory original finishes intact, showing little to no use in its lifetime, that is the Holy Grail for big bore Ithaca collector/shooters. Built in 1925, sn390889 weighs 9 1/4lbs. with its 32" barrels. The gun is choked Modified and Full from the factory, marked that way on the barrel flats, and is unaltered in anyway, inside or out. From the original buttplate, to the 99.5% vivid factory case colors and blue, jeweling still present on the breech face, mirror bores, 2 7/8" chambers, to the tight as new action and strong well timed ejectors, this is likely the very fines example of the Grade 4E Flues 10ga. in existence. Even the wood finish is 99% and factory original. I have never seen such a fine example of original Flues in any gauge. The "BIG TEN", as they call the 2 7/8" 10ga., is an exceptional waterfowl and turkey gun, with a very short shot string delivering far more pellets on target at the moment of impact than a similar load from a 12ga. gun. Load this gun up with 1 3/8 oz. load and it will devastate ducks and geese. From an investment standpoint, RARITY AND CONDITION IS HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER, AND THIS GUN HAS BOTH. Don't let this one get away. I can safely say you will never have another chance of an example this nice.
