Description:
A nice PINFIRE pistol with 5 & 1/2 inch octogon double barrels and fold out triggers. Action is strong, hammers and triggers work properly. 7mm or about .60 caliber. overall length is about 10 & 1/2 inches. Checkered and outline carved wood grips are in excellent condition with just a few minor marks. No cracks, splits or wood missing. There is a lanyard ring at the bottom of the butt. All metal was browned and about 50% + remains with only some minor dings. The barrels pop up for loading with the push of a button/lever located on the left side.
A nice piece for the Pinfire or Oddity collector. This was likely made between 1860-1870, the U.S. Civil War Era. It is definitely a European piece, probably made in England or France. There is no manufacture's name or proof mark visible. There is the number "13" on the underside of the barrels.
This is an antique so no FFL is required. It may be sent directly to a new owner.
