I have for sale a very nice little Merkel Model 280 side by side in 28 gauge. This gun features 28 inch barrels choked improved cylinder and modified. Has Holland and Holland style ejectors. These nice little guns feature Anson Deeley boxlock receiver with a Greener style cross bolt and a double under barrel locking lugs. Gun has straight grip, with nice straight grain Walnut for light weight and strength. The straight grip has the diamond shape which feels great in your hand. A splinter forend with nice hand cut checkering. The weight is 5 pounds 5 ounces making it a gun you can carry all day and still has the balance with the 28 inch barrels to not be whippy. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 X 14 1/4 over original Merkel butt plate with engraved screws. This gun is in excellent condition with only a few light handling marks and slight amount of wear on the bottom edge of the receiver. Gun is very tight and ready for years of service. Gun comes with the original and correct box. This may just be the perfect Grouse, Woodcock, and Quail gun. Price of this nice little gun is $3300 plus actual shipping to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period with buyer paying shipping if returned.
