Description:
This is a very nice Winchester Model 70 made in the late 1940s. It is a Late Transition style that still has the Pistol Grip Stock and 30 Gov 06 Barrel stamping. The Bore is near perfect. This Winchester is all original finish and has the Lyman 48 WJS Reciaver sight on it. The stock was slightly fitted to accept the sight. It does not have the whole slice in the side like the earlier sights require. The Blue on the Barel is very nice and the finish on the stock shows to be used but not abused.
