Made in 1929 A Rare Model k, which according to the Savage Book was assembled with a lot of extra care, and hand fitting, also factory engraved, and supplied with a Lyman Tang sight, This one has had a Griffen & Howe side sight added to it, probably by G&H to look at the care they took in putting it on, also has a pre war Hensoldt 4 power scope with triple cross hairs, as clear as the day it was made, Hook & Eye sling studs are on the rifle, The Blue is over 95% and the wood as you can see is the same or better, all numbers match including the buttplate
the original folding rear sight is on the barrel, and original tang sight on the rear of receiver, The front edge of the receiver has the letter K stamped on it, which is correct to designate a special model 99. A Rare K 99 in real nice condition.
