Description:
.45-75 WCF. 28 inch Octagon barrel with full mag tube. Bore has some shine to it with rifling present. It could stand a good cleaning. This is an early gun that started life as an "Open Top", but has since then had a "Lid" added, however the Lid is missing now. The gun has sling swivels and a crescent butt plate. Receiver has traces of original blue in the protected areas, otherwise is a plum/brown color. Barrel and mag tube have about the same appearance. Gun was made in 1877, and has had a lot of use over the years, and clearly has a story to tell. If you are looking for an early Winchester 1876 representative piece... this could be the one for you.
