Description:
This is a basic pre series 70 Colt Model 1911 that left the factory in 1964 as a standard gun in 45 caliber. Someone also purchased a boxed pre series 70 conversion kit. This has been mounted on the frame with proper .22 caliber magazine but the slide for the .45 is gone. So , what you basically have is a pre series 70 commercial Colt 1911 .22 caliber semi automatic. The slide retains at least 99% of the original factory blue finish as does the matching frame. The only real visible wear is the front grip strap that has a bit of freckling. Serial #295316C. Beautiful early 60's .22 auto.
