Description:
Savage Model 1899 H Carbine. Serial #253xxx (Early-Mid 1920,s vintage). Metal retains 85-90% original blue with wear on the bottom of receiver (shallower blue), small mark on rear of receiver where there was once a tang sight, not major (See Photos). No case left on lever and very good barrel blue, less on buttplate. Wood retains 90% Original Varnish with one slight blemish on the right hand side of forend next to barrel, evidence of a removed tang sight behind receiver. Buttstock has real nice figure on Left Side. Bore is Very Good. Original Sights. 20" Barrel. The 303 Caliber has become popular again with a run of new ammo last year.
