Offered for your consideration is this fine Colt SAA in 45LC that has some interesting history behind it. It was rebuilt and refinised at the Colt factory in 1959. The 5 1/2 inch barrel has an excellent bore, as new bright and sharp. It is a 2nd generation barrel, as is the cylinder. Colt also re case colored the frame and reblued the balance. The finish is near perfect with a trace of holster wear on the muzzle and ejector housing. The action is so smooth I have to believe it was tuned up in Colt's custom shop! Nice, crisp 4 clicks, timing is perfect and it's a great shooter! This Colt has been in our family since 1945. It was purchased by my uncle, Earl Parker, on his return from service in WW II. He served in the Army Air Corps as an engineer and gunner on an A-26 Invader. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for low level bombing runs on NAZI installations on the Rhine River. The only history I have on the Colt is that he sent it to Colt for rebuild and refinish in 1959-60. I have not had it lettered. I recall shooting this Colt when I was about 12 years old, damn thing was like shooting a cannon! At any rate, time to pass it on for someone else to enjoy!
