Rare and unusual needle fire carbine. Heavy short round barrel with small (.26 caliber) bore with six groove rifling. Breech is marked I.E.M. Endel. (We think this is a Prague gunsmith or seller). Barrel is marked as in photos. Gun is engraved with floral and leaf scrolls and scenes with dogs and cat playing and other figures. The patch-box lid has a falcon with a scroll emanating from its mouth. The trigger guard has a neoclassical figure of a man in woodland setting. Barrel is 14½” long and overall is 30½”. Very unusual needle gun and well engraved.
