Description:
This CMP rifle is by Springfield Armory and manufactured in late 1942. It was refurbished and re-barreled at Raritan Arsenal after June 1944. Spec sheet on request. Other than this I have no personal history of where it has been. Its over-all condition is Very Good, and “Correct”. Finish is original and shows 'lead bath" tone on receiver tail. The Walnut stock has a rich patina; the metal finish is unworn and no rust; only minor blemishes. Unusual considering its age and travel experience. Owner has fired this rifle and states that it functions normally, and will hit what you aim at. It gauges light wear at muzzle. Some ammo still available to the buyer at reasonable price: all is non corrosive Lake City GI Enbloc 30-06 stored in airtight GI/MG ammo cans. It is Boxer Primed, therefor reloadable brass. GI sling, Storable GI cleaning rod, grease pot Cmpo instruction booklet, dummy enbloc, target 2 round clip and a few cloth bandoliers included. Ammo is new; the M1 and accessories are in used condition and sold as is without warranty expressed or implied. No returns, refunds or exchanges. Seller is a private party. Sale will be in compliance with all Missouri State and Federal laws. Item should be C&R Qualified. Buyer pays all shipping, insurance and transfer fees. This seller slept with a Garand during a two year tour, thus my intimate knowledge of the beast. Get this one before you may no longer be able.
