Description:
Don't know much about Trapdoor Carbines but this appears to be a Model 1879 with Buffington Rear Sight, Breechblock marked 1873 and Lockplate marked 1873. US on buttplate, saddle ring and bar on left side, etc. Bore is good to very good would make a nice shooter. Stock an original carbine stock with never a hole for a ramrod. Barrel is 22 inches in length. Breechblock appears to have been refinished blue at some point. Wood is very good. Please see photos and we shall be glad to answer any questions a prospective buyer may have. Cannot imagine going wrong for the price asked.
