Description:
This full 50 round two piece half split box shows a S+W .38 double action second model on top label. These were built from 1880 to 1884. Box shows light shelf wear with minor scuffs on top label and very light soiling. The ammo has U.S. 38 S&W headstamps on brass cases with copper primers showing intertwined US Bullets have flat points. Ammo appears mostly clean with slight discoloration on a few rounds. Top and side labels have Smith & Wesson Automatic ejecting revolver callouts. A nice early US Cartridge Co Box.
