Description:
Serial #AV11701, .303 British, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1943 dated rifle that has retained about 97-98% of an armory re-applied blue finish that has some very mild fading along some of the edges and high projections. The unnumbered bolt is also in excellent condition with some mild plum-brown freckling on the otherwise armory bright bolt body. Post-war Birmingham proofs are present on the receiver ring while the walnut buttstock, forend, and handguards are in excellent condition with only a few scattered, very minor handling marks and small surface blemishes. A single, non-matching numbered magazine, leather sling, and a brass oil bottle in the stock compartment are also included. This is a great looking post-war British rifle that rates excellent condition overall. {Ref.
