Description:
S# 540, 32 S&W, 3 inch barrel, good bore. This Spanish S&W copy has a small TAC trademark on right side indicating manufacture by Tracaolo, Aranzabal Y CIA. Barrel rib is stamped "Smith & Wesson's American Metallic Cartridges Are To Be Used For Our Model Of Revolver". This stamping shows many partial or missing letters. Frame and barrel have simple engraving. Gun remains in excellent condition with over 95% nickel. Trigger guard has about 65% blue. Th bone grip scales fit perfectly and look great. This is a fine example of the cheap Spanish imported imitations that eventually forces a lawsuit against the importers in the early 1920's. This gun has no Spain marking and was imported prior to the 1891 counrty of origin marking laws. Antique.
