Payment Types Accepted: M.O. or Check Description: Marked "Marlin Firearms Co." plus the usual Ideal markings, as well as "30 US". Retains about 90% original finish. Has the usually lost "swinging hook" attachment to hold the rimless case for priming. The two dies are nicely nickeled and are marked "123", which is correct for the 30-06. The bullet seating stem is marked "280" (round nose - probably for the early 220 gr. bullet). Both have the early "wedding band" lock ring with no set screw. Leave off the hook and tool, with the proper dies, will also load the 30-40 Krag and the 303 British. The box is for a No. 3 and is rough - top is missing one end panel and half of one side. Has the Ideal address, which is common with Marlin tools as they used what was inherited. Label end marked "30 US". Lower half is solid with one small tear as shown. The "U.S. Ordnance Report" flyer about the broken shell extractor is from the time when the mecuric primers were causing the brass cases to seperate in the chamber. Boxes and paperwork are scarcer than the tools. All in all, an excellent set, especially by Marlin. Buyer pays $10.50 shipping in a Medium Flat Rate box with Delivery Confirmation. SOLD |
