JOHNSON U.S. MODEL 1836 FLINTLOCK PISTOL DATED 1841. .54 caliber U.S. Martial holster pistol used by Dragoon Regiments on the early Western Frontier during the Indian Removals period and the Seminole Wars. All original and fine with perfect marking. Lock stamped “U.S../R. JOHNSON/MIDDN. CONN/1841”. Barrel with “US/JH/P” ordnance Inspector’s proofs. Original crisp grey patina on metal and excellent wood with two perfect U.S. Government Inspector’s cartouches. Lock in working order. Even has a good bore.
