Description:
This breechblock is lacking the later lightening cut on bottom. It is marked "1866 over Eagle" by hinge and is complete with latch, firing pin, hinge screw, and all internal parts. Exposed areas have deeloped an even brown light patina, easily cleaned back to bright, with no pitting. This is a very good block for your 1866 project rifle.
