Description:
REDUCED-This is Mannlicher-Schoenauer Carbine chambered in 30-06. It is an MC model (Monte carlo cheekpiece) that was introduced when folks started using scopes on their rifle, to bring the eye up level with the scope. Serial number is 465XX. This one has double triggers, where the rear trigger "sets" the front trigger to a very light pull.
The rifle has a sidemount scopemount by Williams, and holds a period-correct Weatherby scope made by Hertel & Reuss in Germany. When the scope and mount are removed, the open sights are unobstructed.
The rear of the buttstock is a tad darker in finish, as it must have morn a cartridge slide or slip-on pad during its life.
The rifle is in near mint condition, and would make a nice addition to your MS collection, and will increase in value.
