Description:
This is one of the classic older sako small-action rifles called the Vixen. It is chambered in the 222 Remington cartridge, as most Vixens were. The serial number is 943XX, and the markings on the barrel indicate that it is the original. The rifle is marked Made in Finland; not importer marks, and made well before the changes made in 1972. The rifle is in excellent condition indicating very little use in its lifetime.
The rifle is equipped with a period-correct Colorado-made Redfield scope in 3x9 power that is still in near-new condition. The Vixens are quite collectible, particularly the pre-Garcia rifles, and you'd be hard-pressed to find one in better condition than this one.
