1886 .45-70 OCTAGON RIFLE, MADE 1900, hard to find caliber and the most desirable, mostly gray/brown receiver with good blue on the bolt and rear portion of the loading gate, fine lightly aged barrel blue with some tiny dings and wear to the high edges- minor and some brown just ahead of the receiver behind the rear sight- the balance point, original buckhorn rear sight with standard Winchester front blade, mag tube has some aged blue but is mostly aged to an uncleaned brown, generally exc. screws, tight action, exc. wood with one shallow ding in right side of stock, tight wood to metal fit, fine bore has strong rifling and some scattered light pitting- should scrub out better, overall nice appearance .
