Description:
The Dakota Model 76 is one of the most desirable hunting rifles in the world, proven on every continent, in every climate and on every type of game. Exemplifying the very best of bolt action innovation with exquisite lines and impeccable shot to shot precision, it has deservedly taken its place among the legendary rifles of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This Safari in 300 H&H Magnum has a beautiful upgraded walnut stock with a shadow line Monte Carlo cheekpiece, hand cut wrap around checkering, an ebony forend tip and ebony cross bolt plugs. The receiver, bottom metal, grip cap, tip and toe butt plates, 30mm quick release Talley rings and bases are case colored. The bolt handle is rust blued with two panel checkering and the remaining metal is matte blued. A foliate arabesque pattern engraving with gold inlays covers a large portion of the metal including the receiver, bottom metal, grip cap, Talley rings, bolt handle knob, island sight, barrel band and front sight. A single blade island rear sight and banded, hooded front fiber optic sight that is set back from the muzzle for easy carry in the field sit atop the 23” barrel. The satin finish stock has tip and toe plates with a checkered butt that yields a 13 3/4” length of pull. The front barrel band and rear inset sling swivel studs make installing a sling a snap. Factory test fired only. Weight is 8.6 lbs.
