Description:
An early colt police department revolver chambered for the 38 S&W cartridge. SN 1816XX was made in 1922 and has a stamping on the butt of: M.P.D. No. 6. This gun came from the Boston area.The exterior finish is mostly blue but looks toughed up with recent color and there are patches of very fine pin-point pits on the cylinder, possibly from lying in a leather holster too long. The action works good and the gun locks up tight and indexes good. The bore is shiny, strong rifled and clean. Grips are older Colt Rock material and fit very well. We don’t have asite .I prefer money orders or a check. Item ships when funds come in. If you can only pay with a card let me know.
