Walther (AC) K-43, Serial Number 52XX a, Caliber 8mm., Dated 45. This is a scarce all matching handsome example of "Hitler’s Garand". The barrel, sight and hood and dust cover (usually missing) retain about 95% of the original blue. The receiver, barrel bands, trigger guard assembly and buttplate appear to be grey Parkerized, at about 80-85%. The bolt, the receiver, and rear sight assembly have a black paint finish which appear to have flaked to about 75-80%. This mixture is quite common for these very late war K-43s. There are no pits or rust anywhere The rear sight assembly is stamped Eagle/359. The bolt is also stamped Eagle/359. The laminated wood stock is in really super condition. No splits, chips or dings. The stock is correctly stamped Eagle/359. The bolt face, slide rails and feed ramp show very little use. The gun locks up tight and all parts function properly. The barrel is just super. The rifling is sunshine bright and razor sharp without even a hint of graying. The gun comes with one original magazine. The finish of which is about is a 95%, with one rub mark on the right front. It is stamped "gcb”, Eagle/WaA892, K43. to complete the rig there is one original K-43 sling. This Walther has seen very little if any use and would be great looking in a collection or outstanding at the range. .....$3695.
