Description:
Marking on the bar style hammer is "Allen's Patent 1845". Bbl marking is "Allen & Thurber Worcester". Yes, this is the famous Ethan Allen. There were quite a few different varieties of these pepperboxes. This one would be the fluted bbl with engraved nipple shield version. Percussion six shot in 32 cal with 3" bbls. A very deep brown patina gun. Relatively good overall condition. Smooth metal. Engraving on the frame and nipple shield is visible. Action kind of works but doesn't go every time. Unique gun.
