Description:
SOLD...Antique Smith & Wesson .32 DA 4th model. Here is a wonderful little Smith & Wesson DA .32. Has the standard 3 1/2" barrel. The finish is outstanding as you can see. The S/N is 104052 and ALL matching thoughout of course. I will say to start with, the S/N on the butt looks a little light towards the last two digits. It looks better in hand than in the photo.. Could have been a tipped stamp as I see NO signs of re finishing on all the other numbers or the barrel address. ALL other markings and all the edges are sharp and clear. The factory machine marks on the inside of the frame look perfect also as you can see in the photo. Also the same factory machine marks on the face of the cylinder are perfect. These would be gone if it was re finished do to the polishing process.. Old dried up grease in the corners inside and other areas also have not been disturbed or cleaned. There also are NO dished out screw holes anywhere. The barrel retains 99% nickel finish. Has one VERY small speck of flaked finish that is hard to see.. The cylinder has 95% + with just a couple small specks of flaking.  The frame has 98% with just a couple very small spots of flaked finish. The trigger guard has about 95% bright blue with some very light specks of surface crud on the inside area. The barrel latch has 95% bright blue. The trigger has most all of the bright case colors. The hammer retains all of the bright vivid case colors. All the screw heads and take down pins are untouched. The mechanics are excellent. Crisp and tight as a new gun. This gun indexes and locks up bank vault tight period.. Both hammer notches are perfect. Rock solid barrel to frame fit at the latch and the hinge. You will not find a tighter little S&W anywhere !!!! The bore is excellent and bright with just a couple very shallow spots of roughness. The chambers are excellent, bright and shiny. Looks like never fired. I wiped the bore and chambers out after I took the photos so the dried grease and fuzz you see in the chambers cleaned out to excellent. The grips are excellent as well with all the fine checkering and luster. NO cracks or chips and a perfect factory fit and numbered to the gun inside. This is a very fine S&W and I am pricing it as original finish but still at a bargain price.... If you buy it and see different then I will refund your money plus the shipping both ways !!! I have been collecting and dealing for many years and can spot a re finished gun very well and I see NO signs of re finishing on this revolver. I can not explain the last two digits on the butt S/N being a little weak but there would be other signs of a re finish somewhere else on the gun. The machine marks on the inside of the frame tell me it has not been messed with along with several other factors that I consider, just does not add up to it being a re finished gun.. Call 765-728-8049 with any questions of more photos. $15 insured shipping. Please take a look at my other antique firearms while you are here.
