HOPKINS & ALLEN 12 GA. FALLING BLOCK SINGLE BARREL HAMMER SHOTGUN CIRCA 1880’S. 29” fluid steel barrel stamped “MADE BY THE HOPKINS & ALLEN MANFG. CO. NORWICK. CONN. U.S.A.” with 1885 and 1888 patent dates. Trigger guard activates block release. Take down lever on frame. Checkered walnut stock and forend. Very good with grey patina on metal and original finish on the wood. All original except lower pistol grip tang screw which is a replacement. Working order and good bore. Scarce and interesting.
