Description:
The face of this Peloris is marked "Mfg. by Marine Compass Co. Pembroke, Mass. U.S.A." In a mahogany box, gimble mounted. Box dimensions are 7 1/2" square X 5 1/2" high with box jointed corners and brass hook closures. A ships plotting instrument that was usually mounted on the bridge wing. This piece is from the early 20th century eta. A great decorator piece.
