Description:
Confederate Kerr revolver, exported to the Confederacy in large numbers during the Civil War, this single-action, 5-shot percussion revolver was manufactured by the London Armoury Company based in London, England. These revolvers were privately purchased by many Confederate officers and were considered a choice sidearm of the South during the Civil War. The metal overall is a smooth aged grey-brown patina. All markings are correct, crisp and clear, serial #4278, matching. Barrel has rounding at muzzle from holster wear. One-piece walnut grips exhibit fine distinct checkering and retain light "J S over Anchor". Mechanics are very good and line up perfectly, after trigger is pulled, cylinder needs to be advanced just a tad by hand to engage for next shot. Original lanyard swivel ring present. Here is your chance to own one of these classic Confederate revolvers.
