Ithaca U.S. Mdl. 1911 A1, Serial Number 12215XX.
Not minty but a lovely example of one of the lesser known 1911 A1 contractors. The gun retains about 96-97% of the original Parkerizing. The bulk of the loss is contained the bottom of the frame forward of the trigger guard. In addition, there are several small areas of very light scattered pinpricks on both sides of the slide near the muzzle. This is usually due to holster wear. The grip straps have not grayed and there is almost none of the usual sharp edge silvering. The rest of the gun shows almost no use. The right rear of the frame has a very faint Crossed Cannons Ordinance mark, the left, FJA inspector's mark and P proof. The top of the slide at the rear is also P proofed. All parts match and are proper for the gun. The grips are flawless and the correct small ring type. The grip screws are unmarred. The barrel is the a type14, and is stamped S P on the left leg, under the chamber is a heat treat stamp, PX-4. The barrel like the rest of the gun shows no use. The bore is brilliant, bright with sharp rifling. There isn't even a hint of use. The gun comes with one correct R (Risdon) stamped. A no remorse price.....$1695. *REDUCED*
