Description:
A handsome pair of large bore (.64 caliber) so called Great Coat percussion pistols. The condition of both rates FINE/EXCELLENT. The heavy  smoothbore octogon barrels  are 5 & 3/4'' long and screw off for loading. The overall length is 10". The bores are good. 50% or more of the original blueing remains. The walnut stocks are totally checkered except for the smooth butts. The wood is unmarked except one pistol has a small mark on the right side, and there are a few minor dents in both butts. There are blank escutcheon plates on both stocks. Both sides of the locks are engraved as  are the hammers, trigger guards and barrel tangs. The actions are strong and both hammers hold on full and half cock. No makers name but there are two proof marks under each barrel visible.

A nice set and in the condition that every collector wants. Should prove to be a good investment  while you enjoy owning them.
