Description:
Browning Gr. III Fighting Cocks 20 gauge O/U shotgun. Made in 1959 this gorgeous Gr. III has 28” vent rib barrels with metal front and mid beads; mirror perfect bores and the chokes are SK/IC (.004”/.008”) or as I call it: “perfect upland bird chokes”! The Fighting Cocks pattern was engraved by Lea VanLaar, Browning Master Engraver and the Chief of Female Engravers and her work is nothing short of magnificent. The beautifully figured buttstock has been replaced with a stock that is correct in every way to original made by Donnie Gemes of Show-Me Gun Stocks in Warsaw, MO. It has a 14 ¼” LOP to a Browning buttplate, 1 ½” DAC, 1 7/8”’ DAH & neutral cast. The forearm was refinished by Donnie to match the new stock. The coin finished parts have been refurbished to new; the barrel blue is original and there is just a hint of case wear at the very edges of the muzzle. So it is 99% overall and as you can see from the photos..spectacular. Weighs 6 lbs. 5 oz.
