Description:
There were over 131,000 of these made between 1868 and 1881 but very few were made with the short 2 1/2" barrel. As per factory letter this one went to MW Robinson  in New York on August 4, 1875. The frame retains 90% of it's original nickel finish. The cylinder retains about 75% while the barrel retains about 90%, with most loss right in front of the cylinder. The grips retain nearly all of the original varnish with a tiny loss at the toe of the left grip. The bore is dark with light pitting and strong rifeling.
