Description:
Purdey style sidelock ejector w very strong original colors and elegant bouquet-and-scroll engraving, hidden third fastener, no sling swivels! Intercepting sears, bushed strikers, excellent screws, minor marring on lockplate screw. Barrels are both 70mm-27.5" w bright bores and lengthened cones, tight and on face w strong blacking. Bores are R725/725 L 730/710; and R733/708 L732/692. Sound wood w excellent figure, butt portion has been nicely refinished and checkered wood buttplate added post photos, original leather pad with gun. LOP 14 1/8", drops 2 1/4" and 1 1/2", 1/4" cast off. Localized pitting on both action balls but no sign of pitting elsewhere. Cased in the original fitted leather trunk case. Purdey quality for one third the money. 6 3/4 lb.
