MODEL 55 TAKEDOWN IN RARE .25-35 CALIBER, #8XXX MADE 1928, only about 20,000 of this model were made in all calibers with very few made in .25-35, another fine model that was killed off by the Great Depression, aged and thinning barrel blue, flaking receiver to mainly gray with some splotchy aged blue remaining, good blue on the loading gate, near exc. wood shows tight wood to metal fit and only very light handling, original steel butt plate, has a Marbles tang sight and Marbles buckhorn rear sight, long blade with flat bead front sight in correct ramp, tight action and takedown, MINTY BRIGHT BORE, seldom seen caliber.
