Description:
SxS hammer gun with one bbl being approximately 20 ga and the other being a rifle bbl in about 58 cal. Marking on the upper tang is " F. Alban Gunther". Other markings on the rib of the bbl "Pretzel in Glogau". A very ornate combo gun with deep relief engraving to the stock. A lot of checkering and signature European fancy pistol grip handle. Gold colored trigger guard that is also ornate. Gun is good condition with metal a mostly grey color as are the hammer and sidelocks. Some gold wash remains in the engraving. Hammer and triggers work. Interestingly it does have a patch box and is also engraved. Combination guns were very popular in Europe. They didn't catch on as much in the U.S. These are a beautiful gun for collecting on a budget.
