Winchester Model 12 WWII Military trench gun, chambered in 12ga and manufactured in 1946. At the beginning of the shotguns life it started out as a military trench gun and like many of the luck veterans, it shed its military life and went hunting. These guns were sold by the Government to the public for a small fee. There were companies after the war that to convert these guns from trench to hunting guns. This is one of the guns that were converted. It has had a 30” Full choke, replacement barrel put on it as well a replace mag tube. The stock still adorns the cross cannons with the G.H.D. stamping from when it was approved for service and the U.S stamped frame. I guess it could be put back to its military configuration but it still carries a special place in our history the way it is.
