Description:
This 1866 carbine serial number 158282 was expertly custom engraved in the period. Deep extensive scroll engraving, blank dedication plaques and bordering that is very closely patterned to that of the Ulrich style as seen on page 68 of Wilson’s "Winchester Engraving". Stocks have been professionally up-graded to a fancy walnut and serialized to the gun. Wood is in excellent condition. Barrel has most blue with the mag tub turning patina. Overall an excellent example of a well cared for 1866.
