Description:
A handsome and complete 19th Century Indo-Arab Jambiya. These Jambiyas were made in Central and South India for sale to travelling Arabs who were there mostly to trade in the 19th Century. This example has a polished horn hilt, a clean and typical Arab Jambiya blade, with a raised central spine. The wooden scabbard is covered with faded red velvet, which indicates a late 19th Century date (or has been recovered at that time). A copper gilded, and pierced scabbard chape of lovely quality- typically Indian in design. - 12-3/4" long in sheath, blade 8-1/2" long.  Excellent conditon  $100  + $15 priority shipping USA
