PENNSYLVANIA STYLE FLINTLOCK KENTUCKY PISTOL BY HACKER MARTIN. Circa 1950’s-60’s. 16” overall with 11” octagon .40 caliber rifled, sighted barrel signed on the top flat “HACKER MARTIN MADE FOR L.A. MEADOWS” and engraved with floral scrolls at the muzzle and the breech. Hand made lock with plate stamped “H. MARTIN”. Birdseye maple stock with engraved brass mounts and four engraved silver forend inlays. Silver oval wrist escutcheon engrave in script with the initials “L A M”. Entirely hand made by Martin for his friend and fellow longrifle and Kentucky pistol maker Leonard A. Meadows of West Virginia. Fine condition with lovely aged patina. Lock in working order and excellent bore. Nice example of Hacker Martin’s work.
