MEADOWS. CIRCA 1960’S-70’S. 16” overall with 10 ½” octagon sighted .36 caliber barrel signed in a brass panel with the maker’s script initials “ALM”. Unsigned lock plate. Tiger maple stock with lightly engraved brass mounts and four silver forend barrel pin escutcheons. Silver belly plate with light engraving. Silver oval wrist escutcheon engraved in gothic block “M” for Meadows. Stock grip fashioned without a pommel cap. Metal in very good condition with a light coating of salt and pepper surface rust. Lock in working order and has an excellent bore. Leonard Meadows was a contemporary Kentucky rifle and pistol maker who died in the 1970’s. This was very likely his personal pistol. SOLD |
