Description:
This second model rifle was manufactured in 1881 and has multiple special order features. One of these features includes nickel plated side plates with a dedication inscription reading "Geo. W. Green Pgh, Pa. Feb. 21st 1883." It also has a nickel plated lever and butt plate.
Other special features are, dovetail beaded blade front sight with folding hood, sporting rear sight, long range tang mounted peep sight, rotating front sling swivel, and a single set trigger.
Gun retains 75 to 85% original blue and nickel plating with minor flaking of the nickel. Wood stocks are in excellent condition with minor handling marks. This gun is exceptionally clean inside and out with very little evidence of use. The bore is very clean with good rifling. Tight dust cover and mechanically excellent.
