Description:
Lovely single shot percission pistol, about .69 Caliber. Long barrel about 14 inches long, octagonal. A high quality piece with no markings, but lovely engraving and checkered grips. It is about .69 Caliber and a smoothbore. Bore is great, no pitting and mechanically the gin is tight. An unusual buuttplate that is like a patchbox and it too is engraved.  Brass trigger guard also engraved.  Even the brass ferrule for the cleaning rod is engraved. No markings on the gun at all. Wood appears to be walnut and is in terrific condition. Probable European, but hard to tell. A lovely gun.
