#4923 Winchester 1873 OBFMCB standard 24” barrel length and trigger, 44WCF, 3rd Variation, SN 224XXX (1887), smooth action, about a 6 bore and should clean to about a 7. It does have medium wear, some light scale and light pitting the entire length, but is at least average or better than most ‘73s in this overall condition. It should spin a bullet and be reasonably accurate to 75-100 yards, but that’s just a somewhat educated guess on my part. The exterior is an even smooth brown patina with VG markings and average metal.VG wood that shows just the light bumps and dings of 129 years of use but does have a crack on the left upper tang that runs about half-way back to the buttplate that appears very solid and not seriously compromising the stock strength. Nothing special, but a decent overall appearance and a bit better than the usual no-finish ’73 in this price range. Open buckhorn rear sight and pinched blade front sight. About VG. $1775
