Description:
1963 manufacture 20 gauge, 26 3/8” barrels with 3” chambers. Chokes are marked Improved Cylinder (.004 actual) and Modified (.012 actual). The barrels have a narrow ¼” ventilated rib with a single silver bead on it. The top barrel has the typical Browning nomenclature and “MADE IN BELGIUM” on it. Diana gray finished action is engraved in typical Diana style with scrolled acanthus framing vignettes of pheasants on left and ducks on right side, with pair of bobwhite on bottom, and rabbits on the long tang trigger guard bow. Engravers signature “Vandersmissen G.” is in the left scene. The buttstock is fairly straight grained, round knob walnut with modified point pattern checkering at grip and the length of pull measures 14-1/8″ over a leather faced recoil pad. Drop at comb is 1 3/8”, drop at heel is 2 1/4”. The forearm has point checkering and is in excellent condition with 99% original finish and a couple of light handling marks. The buttstock retains 99% original finish and has numerous light handling marks. The barrels retain 99% original bluing. The receiver forend iron and trigger guard are in excellent condition. This shotgun has a single, selective, gold inertia trigger and ejectors. Mechanically excellent. Weight is 6 lbs.
